PKRU held Open House 2020 presenting its curriculum; Southern student-counsellors join event

During February 20th – 21st 2020, the Academic Promotion and Registration Office at Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU) held an event called Open House PKRU 2020 to present its curriculum to student-counselors from the southern provinces. The event was held at MS Convention Hall, in the Faculty of Management Science, in Phuket Rajabhat University. There were honorable guests attending the opening of the event, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, the President of the university; Asst. Prof. Dr. Bandit Anyong, the Director of Academic Promotion and Registration Office; the university executives, staff and student-counselors from schools in the southern region. The event featured the presentation of the university’s curriculum, education management, and career directions presented by the executives from faculties in the university consisting of Faculty of Education, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Humanity and Social Science, Faculty of Agricultural Technology, International Tourism College, and Office of Education for Fulltime Personnel. Besides them, there were 2 alumni, Mr. Natthawat Panthanyalak, a government teacher at Baan Kalim School; and Mr. Aroon Paksomboon, the Production Assistant at The I Center Co. Ltd, sharing their stories in their work, at the event.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, the President of the university said that: “This event allows student-counselors from schools in the southern region who are responsible for giving academic advice to students in secondary school and vocational colleges to gather and get updated information regarding the curriculum in the university, career directions, academic schedules, and university regulations in new student admissions. Additionally, the university took this event as an opportunity to present to student counselors, who have been the strong academic supporting network supporting the university, the policy in educational management for local development as well as to introduce the improvement of the university in terms of buildings, up to date curriculums, student welfares and scholarships, qualifications of academic personnel, and the growth of Phuket that excellently supports education on the island.”
