PKRU to open 2nd temporary hospital for patients in green group

PRPKRU (July 29th 2021) Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkan, the President of Phuket Rajabhat University, announced that the university would open a second temporary COVID–19 hospital in its area to treat confirmed patients of green group showing few or no symptoms; besides this, the hospital will be an observation ward for patients recovered from the disease or having stable condition after treatment in the hospital. At this moment, the university is ready to hand over the area to Vachira Phuket Hospital. 
The President said that “PKRU as an organization, working for local development and services, had offered Andaman Pannarai Conference Center to be used as the second temporary hospital. This hospital will provide treatment and care for patients from the new wave of COVID–19 on the island (July 2021) that has been increasing every day. This area offer has been accepted by Mr. Narong Woonsiew, the Governor of Phuket. The university had been working with local administrative organizations, public health agents, and private sectors in establishing the first zone with 70 beds of the hospital in Khun Ying Kanchana Na Ranong Conference Room; and the second zone, 200 beds at Khun Lert Pokharak Conference Room in the second floor of the conference center. Besides, the university would also be in charge of facilitating a security and traffic system under the intense public health measures; whereas Wachira Phuket Hospital was responsible for providing medical equipment such as oxygen detectors, thermometers, x – rays, and basic kits for the patients. Finally, the President confirmed that PKRU and Wachira Phuket Hospital had finished the hospital establishment. The hospital is ready to run as soon as the number of patients exceeds the capacity of the first temporary hospital with the intention to give treatment to every patient in Phuket, to help them recover and send them home safely.”
