PCIT organized Short-Course Training in Thai Warrior Massage

During 17-19 February 2020, Phuket College of International Tourism (PCIT), at Phuket Rajabhat University (PKRU) in association with Ba-Rhey Spa & Wellness Training Academy organized a short-course training program with certificates awarded in Thai Warrior Massage at the Office of Art and Culture, Phuket Rajabhat University.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasarnkarn, President of Phuket Rajabhat University presided over the opening ceremony of the Training Program. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nissa Sinlapasate, Dean of the Phuket College of International Tourism and staff were also present at the opening ceremony. There were a lot of massage therapists and participants from hotel enterprises as well as interested Thai and non-Thai nationals attending the training course. The expert trainers conducting this training program were Master Pathompon Aiyarattanaruk, an initiator of Thai Warrior Massage and Master of World Championships in Massage 2017-2019 and his professional team.
The short-course training program in Thai Warrior Massage was an academic service program organized by PCIT in collaboration with private enterprises for the purpose of professional development of Thai massage therapists who are considered an influencer in Phuket tourism and hospitality industries. A number of foreign visitors are interested in Thai massage and it is popular among expatriates. Therefore, an enhancement of Thai massage skills, specifically in Thai Warrior Massage, is the most beautiful and efficient massage therapy to relieve musculoskeletal pain.
After completing the course, the massage therapists were also awarded certificates of attendance for their references or pursuing other enhancement courses in Thai massage for more efficient and skillful techniques.

เมื่อวันที่ 5 มีนาคม 2563 วิทยาลัยการท่องเที่ยวนานาชาติ จัดพิธีลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือ (MOU) ร่วมกับสมาคมมัคคุเทศก์ภาคใต้ ด้านการพัฒนาบุคลากรการท่องเที่ยวและบริการ ในการรองรับนักท่องเที่ยวเพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมและรองรับสถานการณ์ที่จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคต อีกทั้งยังร่วมกันส่งเสริมทักษะด้านมัคคุเทศก์ เพื่อให้เป็นผู้ที่มีความรู้ความสามารถที่สูงขึ้น โดยมีผศ.ดร.หิรัญ ประสารการ อธิการบดี เป็นประธาน ร่วมด้วย รศ.ดร.นิศศา ศิลปเสรฐ คณบดีวิทยาลัยการท่องเที่ยวนานาชาติ นายอรุณ ห่วงผล นายกสมาคมมัคคุเทศก์ภาคใต้ ตลอดจนบุคลากรทั้งสองหน่วยงานเข้าร่วมเป็นสักขีพยาน ณ ห้องประชุมสภามหาวิทยาลัย อาคารเฉลิมพระเกียรติ ม.ราชภัฏภูเก็ต


















PCIT prepares researchers in tourism development and area service

During 10th – 12th March 2020, Phuket College of International Tourism or PCIT, a college in Phuket Rajabhat University, held a PCIT Research and Innovation Development event at Kae Saed Conference Room in Chalerm Phra Kait Building. University executives and staff attended the event including Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn, the President of the university; Dr. Boonsuppa Tantai, the Vice President in special affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Chidchanok Anantamongkolkul, the Deputy Dean in academics and research of PCIT.
In this event, there was a talk about ‘Research and Innovation/Area Case Study to Excellence’ by Mr. Surapon Sewetseranee, the former Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand and Mr. Preecha Prombutr, a former developer of Buriram province.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Hiran Prasankarn said that “PKRU founded PCIT with an intention to work on tourism development at an international level. The college also plays an important role in study and development in area tourism in local communities. The university has recruited academic staff and researchers in various fields to work with the college to promote tourism and service capacity by providing databases and developing attraction routes; this would enhance quality of life of people in the communities, which is one of the main missions of the university. The university has been working in the service area by visiting communities in order to analyze, develop, and expand tourism as well as to explore new attraction routes which would revive the local ways of life. The researchers need to be skillful and understand how the way to work right to help the community. Therefore, PCIT Research and Innovation Development was initiated with assistance from the instructors specialized in area tourism development, who can share their knowledge, research, innovation and services in tourism, which would directly benefit local communities”.
